Senior Tutor/Horticulturalist

Rob is a horticulturist of long standing with a wealth of gardening knowledge. He is the

Senior Horticulturist and Tutor and works at the Charity from Tuesday to Friday.

Ann Ratcliffe

Trustee

I grew up in Ash and attended Ash Walsh Memorial School. Secondary education took me to Northmead Girls School in Guildford, followed by a pre-nursing course at Guildford Technical College. In March 1963, I commenced my Nurse training at Kings College Hospital, London, qualifying in 1966.

Heading towards 60, I decided to have an adventure and went to Peru, to Trek the Inca Trail for Charity. Eighteen months later, I was off to China, to Trek the Great Wall, for the same charity.

After 43 years Nursing, I retired in 2005 and in 2006, I became a volunteer at the Therapy Garden. Shortly after this I became a Trustee and remain so at this time.

The work with the clients means I can still use some of my Nursing skills and as I have some knowledge of gardening, I can help them learn and enjoy the garden.

Emma Hearing

Centre Manager

Emma Hearing used to run her own garden design business. She has also spent time working in schools with children and young adults between the ages of 11 and 18. Originally from Zambia, she has spent a large part of her life working and travelling overseas, and hopes that her previous horticultural knowledge and work experience can help to move the Charity onwards and upwards. She is taking over from Alan Burchett as our new Centre Manager.
